1st Worship Service In The Holly Presbyterian Church’s Parking Lot
The Holly Presbyterian Church held its 1st Worship Service outdoors In the church parking
lot on Sunday, November 8, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Dawn Russell -- from the Linden Presbyterian Church and the moderator of our Session -- conducted the service, including serving Communion.
We used a short-range FM radio transmitter to send her words directly to the radios in our cars
where we could safely stay and listen to the service. A speaker was also used for those
who preferred to listen outside their cars.
Communion was also served. Members of the congregation could bring their own bread and juice,
or use a small cup with juice and a wafer that the church provided. (See pictures below.)
After the worship service members were allowed to have fellowship with other members, but masks and social distancing were strictly required if they left their cars.
We hope to continue holding parking lot worship services on a regular basis during the pandemic crisis. |
