"Worship In The Park,"

The congregation gathered for the "Worship in the Park" service at Lakeside Park in Holly on Sunday, July 13th, with cool temperatures, cloudy skies and a general threat of rain. Rev. Dr. Sharlyn DeHaven Gates conducted the worship service, assisted by Associate Pastor Shaun Hardimon and a number of members from the congregation. Rev. Gates’ sermon was based on a skit of Jesus’ “Parable of the Sower” (Matthew 13:1-9 and 18-23).
After the service, everyone enjoyed a potluck picnic with hot dogs, water and lemonade provided.
Everyone had a wonderful time of fellowship.
